Torchy’s Tacos Brings Queso and Margaritas to Dripping Springs | Eater Austin

"Opening on Tuesday, May 15, Torchy’s Tacos, the Austin-born chain, will be located at 166 Hargraves Drive within Belterra Village. There will be a public preview with free tacos on Monday, May 14 from 5 to 8 p.m., and guests visiting on opening day will be entered into a raffle for a year’s worth of free tacos. Expect the same menu and service as other locations: counter-service breakfast, lunch and dinner tacos and queso, plus a full bar serving margaritas (frozen and on the rocks) and cocktails like its take on martinis. The Belterra Village location will be open 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–11 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m.–11 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday. Torchy’s is also opening its first downtown Austin location before the end of the year in the Northshore apartment building, recently shuttered its South First trailer, and was founded by Michael Rypka who opened the first trailer in 2006 and expanded the brand throughout Texas and into Colorado and Oklahoma." - Nadia Chaudhury
