"Chef Edward Lee's long-awaited Louisville whiskey bar opened this week with a debut selection of roughly 200 whiskeys and a menu that emphasizes burgers. A planned 'Ed Mac' drew a cease-and-desist from McDonald's and was renamed the 'Big Ed' — a two-patty sandwich topped with lettuce, pickles, onions, cheese, and a Southern-style Comeback sauce, replacing the Big Mac's middle bun with a fried green tomato. Priced around $13.75 for dinner and $12.25 for lunch, the burger is intended as an homage that evokes the idea of a Big Mac rather than a direct recreation, and Lee said he took the corporate attention in stride." - Monica Burton
