Mochinut Will Open in Carrollton With Chewy Mochi Doughnuts - Eater Dallas
"California-born chain Mochinut, known for its chewy mochi doughnuts and Korean-style hot dogs, will soon make its Dallas debut. Signage is up at the chain’s forthcoming location at 3052 Old Denton Road, right next to boba tea favorite TeaLatte Bar. It’s the third Texas outpost for Mochinut, which got its start in Los Angeles and has since expanded to more than 30 locations, including restaurants in California, Las Vegas, and Thailand, and even more are in the works. For those who are unfamiliar with mochi doughnuts, they’re made with rice flour, which produces a distinct chewy texture. At Mochinut, the chewy dough rounds are available in a ton of flavors, ranging from taro and ube to black sesame, Fruity Pebbles cereal, coffee, and a churro doughnut that’s dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Korean hot dogs, or corn dogs that are stuffed with cheese and crusted with panko and potatoes or crumbled Hot Cheetos, are also on offer, along with wildly trendy brown sugar boba tea, matcha lattes, and other tea drinks.
