"I'm reporting that a Chicago-based chain is making its way to Dallas: Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen is set to open very soon in Uptown’s McKinney & Olive Building on the corner of McKinney Avenue and Harwood Street. The concept is built around what founder Craig Bernstein calls a “no veto-vote menu,” meaning there should be something for everyone; that translates to plenty of burgers plus starters such as the “Angry Meatball” (Wagyu beef with spicy tomato and ricotta), guacamole with sweet potato chips, brick chicken with fries, and a build-your-own Asian-flavored bowl. In a first for the chain, the Dallas location will offer breakfast—granola, biscuits, acai bowls, “create your own” omelets, fanciful pancakes—and the restaurant includes an 80-seat patio. The spot will officially open next week, according to a PR rep." - Adele Chapin
