"Opened by restaurateur Biridiana Frausto as the Durham outpost of her Sanford original (which was named Eater's Best New Restaurant in 2021), this Brightleaf Square spot showcases the family flavors of Querétaro. The kitchen is known for hearty gorditas generously filled with chorizo or chicken tinga and comforting stews like a peppery menudo; the rotating menu also features quesabirria, tortas, tacos, burritos, sopes and other soulful Mexican dishes, all served with fresh tortillas.
