"Restaurateur Michael Chow designed an opulent black-and-white space for Mr Chow on the second floor of Caesars Palace, reached via a champagne lounge on the casino floor where guests sip Krug or Dom from a champagne trolley and view Jeff Koons’ “Balloon Venus.” Private elevators take diners past a 150-label wine room in floor-to-ceiling glass to a lounge with bronze furniture and Clive Barker artwork; the dining room features white Venetian plaster and Plexiglas, outer banquette seating around a 150-plus lily floral arrangement, a wooden bar with shelving to the ceiling, windows and French doors to a terrace overlooking the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis, nearly 250 seats including three private dining rooms and four terraces, and a 3,800-pound kinetic sculpture called “The Moon” suspended from a 60-foot dome that performs a four-minute show during service." - Susan Stapleton
