"This focused ramen shop in Torrance serves polished bowls with a garlicky broth. Chashu pork melts in one’s mouth, while the noodles are of the thin, wheat variety common at Hakata-style shops. The tantanmen might be the best ramen of the bunch, offering nutty sesame richness to the broth as well as a medium-level chile spice. Instead of chashu, a seasoned mound of ground pork disperses in the intense broth. Gyoza are also some of the best in the city, pan-fried and piping hot." - Matthew Kang
