The Best New Restaurants in NYC

"With a sepia-hued Art Deco room in Williamsburg—brass fixtures, wood paneling, and a massive three-paned arched window facing the sidewalk—Little Grand’s $2 oyster happy-hour makes it a solid option for early dates. The kitchen also delivers snacky delights like sausage-stuffed fried olives and a “fritti misti” of squash, sweet peppers, and purple-cauliflower florets as big and puffy as beignets; skin-on fries cooked in chicken fat; and excellent fish, exemplified by a crisp-seared mackerel topped with cracked olives and thinly sliced scallions in a tangy orange dressing, which was my favorite of the night." - Grub Street
