"A restaurant serving small plates and Sunday jazz brunch in a 19th-century railway station may sound like food trend bingo, but that's what makes Poinçon a cultural hub and dining destination in the 14th. Pull up a chair on the airy ground floor, cozy mezzanine, or patio with twinkle lights, and feast on the three-course lunch prix fixe or the evening selection of small plates. Both menus, best described as international comfort food with a few fine dining twists, are a little all over the place, but they work. Perfectly cooked cuttlefish is paired with earthy mushroom duxelles and creamy piquillo sauce, and you’ll definitely want to keep the two chicken tacos for yourself.
