"The yellow-gold walls and colorful papel picado flags inside Aleida’s Restaurant match this spot's vibrant flavors. Aleida’s serves a Latin menu, but their emphasis on Venezuelan food makes the plush arepas and flaky empanadas must-orders. Pabellon, a classic shredded beef preparation, comes in empanada or arepa form, and the deep slow-cooked flavor of the meat and black beans melds beautifully with both types of pastry dough.
