"The team behind Borit Gogae knows how to fill a table with lots of little plates, but their new spot J Korean takes it up a notch. This peaceful Koreatown restaurant specializes in spreads so elaborate they’re wheeled over by cart and slid onto your table in one swoop. What follows is a dizzying feast: stone pot galbijjim, spicy marinated crab, grilled black cod, three kinds of jeon, sesame porridge, fried eggplant, pollock roe, and both beef and pork bulgogi. And that’s just the start. You’ll lose count around plate #17, but don’t tap out before your chopsticks make their way to the main proteins, which are worth the price of admission alone. For now, the standard set menu costs a reasonable $50 per person, with even grander $70 and $100 sets on the way." - Cathy Park
