"In 2021, Detric Fox-Quinlan and her husband (and Occupy The Hood co-founder) Malik Rhasaan opened Che Butter Jonez in the SWATS, turning an unassuming Cleveland Avenue Chevron plaza into a destination with visits from stars like Dominique Wilkins and Samuel L. Jackson. After a few years of success, they moved to a larger, sunlit space in Brookhaven in 2024. The move didn’t change the quality of the food—this spot still serves some of the best handhelds in Atlanta, including the 'Who Wants Beef Son' smashburger, flavorful salmon pitas, and bodega-style breakfast sandwiches.
