"This Japanese restaurant with an unassuming facade and big-deal accolades lives up to the hype. The space is minimal and distraction-free, almost like a beautiful art gallery without any art. The nearly ten-course kaiseki, a multi-course tasting menu, is around $275 per person, but worth the splurge, especially if you're looking to have a blowout anniversary dinner or an extravagant birthday. The best seat is at the bar, and from there you can ogle the chefs while they delicately plate the course ahead and collect small mounds of wasabi on a shark skin-covered grater. Unsurprisingly, the quality and flavor of the sushi and wagyu tenderloin are unmatched.
