"What It Is: A farm-to-table restaurant inside the Beverly Center Perfect For: Dinner With The Parents Throw a stone in this city and you’ll hit a restaurant calling itself farm-to-table, but Farmhouse, a huge new place inside the Beverly Center, is taking the concept a step further - instead of an Executive Chef, they have an Executive Farmer. In practice, this seems to mean a guy who tells the kitchen what’s in season. Despite being at the bottom of LA’s least-interesting mall, the space is beautiful, and will immediately make you forget about said mall altogether. But apart from a fantastic chicken liver toast, the food we tried (like a whole-roasted cauliflower and mushroom pizza) wasn’t worth going out the way for.
