Quick Eternity - Review - Financial District - New York - The Infatuation

"Quick Eternity takes its Moby Dick theme seriously—the Seaport bar looks and feels very much like an old Nantucket tavern. One drink comes in a tin alehorn, and all the cocktails are named after quotes from the book. Even the smudged windows and glossy stained wooden floors give the impression that this place has seen as many storms as a peg-legged sailor. photo credit: Christian Harder / @christianharder photo credit: Christian Harder / @christianharder Pause Unmute They have a menu full of New England-inspired food, too, like smoked mussels pintxos and lump crab fritters with salt cod. None of it is great (save for some excellent vinegar powder-dusted french fries), but the drinks are, so use this place for an after-work cocktail or a pre-dinner drink before going out in the Seaport. Food Rundown Howling Infinite The closest you can get to actually being on the crew of The Pequod is ordering this cocktail. Served in a tin horn, and packed with crushed ice, the spicy tequila and Pimm’s cocktail is refreshing. photo credit: Will Hartman Lobster Pups Despite their, shall we say, interesting shape, we liked these fried lobster tail corn dogs well enough. They’re a good drinking snack, if a bit expensive at $29 for two pieces. Gam Burger The best thing this burger has going for it is a gigantic pile of vinegar fries, which make it worth an order alone. Other than that, it’s a pretty standard burger. Smoked Mussels Pintxos If you’re really just looking for a snack, this is where you should spend your money. Olives, pickled peppers, and mussels are skewered up for a briny bite." - Will Hartman
