"This Petaluma-born ice cream spot with locations throughout the North Bay and Sonoma turned a former liquor store in Noe Valley into its first SF scoop shop, complete with 30 flavors, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and scoops that struggle to fit into a bowl. What we love most about Angela’s ice cream, though, is the texture—it’s thick yet airy, like the dessert was crossbred with mousse. Each fist-sized scoop is still sturdy enough to suspend several kinds of mix-ins, like toasted hazelnuts, saltines, and cookie dough. Classic flavors like french vanilla and chocolate (Angela’s calls it the “Milkiest Chocolate”) should be in every ice cream-related prenup, but the less conventional flavors are even more exciting. Go for Lemon Bar stitched up with ribbons of lemon curd and pockets of crushed shortbread—and, if it's the right season, try the Tiramisusie with brandy syrup-soaked vanilla wafers and a dusting of cacao. video credit: Patrick Wong video credit: Patrick Wong Pause Unmute" - Patrick Wong
