"The multiple verandas at Crotto dei Platani are what you’d expect any lakeside restaurant in Lake Como to be: peaceful, with views that remind us of a painting, and a private pier for that boat you may or may not have arrived in. Foodwise, this place completely departs from the Italian dishes non-local palates are used to, and that’s why we love it. Traditional plates are punched up with unexpected flavor combinations inspired by whatever’s in season, like the black cabbage gnocchi with a welcomed bitterness.
