"In keeping with its location within the Strand’s The Savoy hotel, the staff at Beaufort Bar are effectively suited nannies for people who order at least three martinis a week, and frankly, we love it. As well as bartenders who listen to your cocktail preferences with more patience and care than your average BetterHelp therapist, the setting also acts as a muscle-relaxing sedative by way of midnight black walls and ‘capital-L Luxury’ gold details. Very few rooms in London feel quite as fittingly dressed for bumps of Beluga caviar and sipping champagne like your divorce settlement win got a mention in Forbes. But it doesn’t quite cross the threshold into buzzing. Instead, there are hush-hush private pockets of giggles and knee-to-knee conversations happening in the booths dotted around the edge of the room. The cocktails—flawless classics or their lethally smooth jalapeño picante—are fantastic and predictably expensive, so it’s best saved for a one-on-one birthday toast or an anniversary nightcap when there’s just enough lighting to witness one of you attempt a tipsy wink. photo credit: The Savoy photo credit: Jack Hardy" - Heidi Lauth Beasley
