"The short version is: Soso’s is a vibes-first spot in Soho from the team behind The Tyger serving European-inspired food with varying levels of success. The long version? It’s a bar with a restaurant hidden in the back that’s dark as a haunted house and decked out like a ’70s pad in the Hollywood Hills. The menu is described as Continental—sort of French, sort of American—but that’s more of a jumping off point. Escargots come dressed with green curry, and hamachi crudo is topped with strawberries and about six too many edible flowers. On our first visit, the steak was great, but the trout was impersonating rubber. For now, play it safe, and stick to a martini in the bar up front. When it comes to classic cocktails, this place can do no wrong. photo credit: Chelsea Kyle photo credit: Poupay Jutharat photo credit: Chelsea Kyle Pause Unmute" - Bryan Kim
