"Scolari’s has been the Alameda burger go-to long before the In-N-Out even existed. And not to state the obvious, but a burger dripping with blueberry sauce and bacon from this counter-service spot is much better than anything you’ll get from a drive-thru. Another between-a-bun winner is the crunchy fried chicken sandwich with thick smattering of creamy sauce. Get that plus the deeply golden-brown fries, which must be dunked in their aioli that comes on the side.
