Café Botanico - Review - Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Café Botanico is a bit like going over to your mate’s mum’s house, who has an allotment, for dinner. While they don’t quite go on about the produce being grown in their garden (especially if you visit at the wrong time of year for this kind of chat), the air definitely has a farm-to-table, zero-waste whiff about it. In summer, you can sit and eat in the massive urban garden, surrounded by its blooming veggies. And although we’re still not entirely sure what Italian food with a German twist means, if we had to guess, we’d say it has something to do with the cauliflower in the caponata. They also offer pre-dinner tours of their permaculture garden, if you’re into that sort of thing." - Olivia Ladanyi
