"Ricky Thai is there for you on takeout nights, or anytime you don’t feel like traveling very far for a hot meal. In other words, it’s a useful neighborhood restaurant. It doesn’t deliver the big swings of flavor we look for in a great Thai restaurant—the papaya salad is oddly sweet, and the flavors in most dishes are pretty mild. But portions are big and they excel at frying things, like their crispy duck that’s not overcooked, or the whole fried fish covered in bell peppers. Come here when you need fast, friendly service and a small mountain of crab fried rice. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc" - Ryan Pfeffer
