"Ricky Thai is there for you on takeout nights, or anytime you don’t feel like traveling very far for a hot meal. In other words, it’s a useful neighborhood restaurant. It doesn’t deliver the big swings of flavor we look for in a great Thai restaurant—the papaya salad is oddly sweet, and the flavors in most dishes are pretty mild.
