"Uncle Hanks’ Hideaway has two different personalities. The dining room is great if you have a small litter of children. Get them mamey ice cream and sit them in the corner of the bright pink room, where they can take turns on the PlayStation. The palapa outside is better for adults who want to watch football, drink beer, and eat chicken wings. There’s a lot of finger food here: nachos, sliders, BLTs. But the menu leans Cuban-American at times, and there’s a whole section of Cuban pizzas and a timba burger with bacon, cream cheese, guava, and potato sticks. There’s a lot going on in that burger, but we really like it. It’s a good time at Hanks, especially when they bring in bands to play on the weekends. Just don’t forget about the kids inside." - Virginia Otazo
