Stevie's Famous - Review - Beacon Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"To say that we love the New York-style pizza at Stevie’s Famous’ original location in Burien is as much an understatement as the Sound Transit expansion taking “a few years.” But don't overlook Stevie’s second counter operation inside Clock-Out Lounge on Beacon Hill. Here, you can get the same great pies and slices, like white-sauced ones topped with crisp Italian sausage or the Normie Macdonald—a masterpiece that involves fresh burrata. Only it can be enjoyed inside a large room. There’s a full-length bar, booth seating, and a stage where you can watch drag spelling bees with a mouthful of sourdough crust. The only downside is you may have to shout your order at the window when brass bands are on the ticket. Food Rundown Normie Macdonald This is hands-down the best slice Stevie’s has to offer. It’s a consistently awesome red sauce slice that stays cool, calm, and collected—right up until a splat of cold burrata shows up with that burst of creamy freshness. photo credit: Nate Watters Sausage Heaps of caramelized onions mingle with herby sausage and golden mozzarella bubbles big enough for a finger skateboard to ride. We love how these ingredients shine on a sauce-less pizza, but it can get a little dry if left in the oven or reheated for too long. photo credit: Nate Watters Pepperoni The tidy little cups here maintain crispy edges without becoming a total grease trap. A solid option if you can't decide on anything else. photo credit: Nate Watters Caesar Salad The icy romaine lettuce gets hit with a ton of fresh lemon and already comes with just the right amount of freshly cracked black pepper, a.k.a. two cracks past that awkward moment when you tell the server to stop but secretly want more. It’s got a ton of zest and zing, making for a nice break between all the cheesy carbs. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Kayla Sager-Riley
