"Cafe Mondo feels like a group of cheffy friends casually knocking up gourmet sandwiches after a big night out. There is music, there is singing, and there's even a Princess Di fridge magnet. Queues at this lively sandwich bar begin to form at 12pm, and dogs' leads get tangled around the legs of waiting locals and office-workers. Everything we've tried here has been good but the green turkey sandwich, made with neighbour Toad Bakery's bread, is something special. Come evening, there’s a convivial atmosphere fuelled by mini martinis and pitchers of beer." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna
