"Cravings La Carreta,, a laid-back Mexican restaurant, is fine for a quick lunch before hopping on a train—Peckham Rye station is next door—or a sizeable solo burrito in a pinch. It’s a warm place where the rainbow paint job and fluttering bunting make you want to linger. It’s not one of the best restaurants in Peckham, but a hefty plate of rice and beans with chunky guacamole does the trick when the red mist of hunger descends. All of the meats—chicken, beef—are tender and juicy, but could be more flavoursome. Get the well-stuffed burrito and you’ll be perfectly satisfied.
