Café Brume brings Alpine charm to Brooklyn Heights - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"Brooklyn Heights is alive with the smell of schnitzel. With an Alps-inspired menu and green taper candles brightening up the rustic, rough-hewn walls, Café Brume is a guaranteed cozy dinner—ski suit optional. Your dinner date will probably want to order their craggy golden schnitzel, which is photogenic enough to launch a modeling career. It’s good, but other entrées outshine it. Like the steelhead trout in a creamy meyer lemon beurre blanc, with colorful, pointillist dots of roe. Or the dark horse of the menu: a rich, earthy spaghetti alla chitarra with duck liver.
