"If you prefer to celebrate anniversaries by putting on a sports jacket or your “real” jewelry, then La Cremaillere is the place for you. This French restaurant offers pre-fixe menus starting at $145 a person, with plenty of opportunities to supersize your bill from there. And if you’re still reading, we’re happy to report that the fine dining experience isn’t too stuffy: the food tastes really good, servers pay close attention without crowding you, and the room feels like everyone else is also there celebrating something, too. You’ll spot two things on almost every table: a pile of french fries on a literal silver platter, which we guess is La Crem’s way of playing it casual, and one of three personal-sized souffles from the dessert menu. We enjoy both of those dishes, and everything else we’ve ordered. You will too, especially if someone else is paying." - Mike Wasserman
