"Maximo in Houston is a crowd pleaser with their mostly Tex-Mex dishes and cowboy coastal themed space. Their burger and the retro dining room it’s served in both capitalize on nostalgia, making it a hit with kids coming in after Little League practice and people old enough to name a McDonald’s mascot other than Grimace. The Big Max has two medium smash patties, a base layer of rich caramelized onions, and a thick smear of horseradish-spiced remoulade that has us muttering expletives of disbelief between bites.
