"A local institution for half a century, Mike’s truly comes alive during the summer. The burgers are perfectly fine, but the restaurant’s big warm-weather draw is the shakes—don’t sleep on the Oregon marionberry and strawberry—which are so thick that plastic straws are futile, and the soft serve swirled into cones, a 99-cent bargain during weekday Happy Hours.
