Kricket - Review - Brixton - London - The Infatuation

"You may have heard of Kricket, and you may even have heard it being called the next big thing. Though it’ll do if you absolutely need to satisfy a craving for spice in the area, it definitely isn’t the next big thing. This is one of the sit-down restaurants located in a shipping container upstairs at Pop Brixton, the boxpark full of food stalls and bars, and here they serve Indian small plates with a twist. Think Keralan fried chicken with a light batter of chickpea flour, or samphire pakoras. While the food is perfectly pleasant, we’ve found it under-spiced and underwhelming. In our opinion, it’s just not the destination-worthy spot people might tell you it is: there’s better modern Indian around town, and better food in Brixton in general." - David Paw
