"Taj has been a community stalwart in the Portland area for over a decade now, but this Indo-Chinese restaurant recently had a glow-up. They’ve got a brand new space with two different dining rooms plus a full bar, and the food, service, and atmosphere are better than ever. Butter chicken and samosas are certainly there, but the menu also shows some range from North India to Southern Indian staples. Get their hot and crispy dosas made by the Taj matriarch herself and some Indo-Chinese specialties like Hakka noodles, a mashup of Chinese lo mein noodles and sweet, acidic Indian flavors.
