However, this casual counter-service spot in Goleta doesn’t need to blow your head off with spice—because their fried chicken is excellent on its own. Jonesy’s pounds its juicy cutlets to katsu-level thinness, and their jagged, craggy crusts soak up lots of smoky chili oil. If it’s your first time, order the JFC Original sandwich, topped with dill pickles, a mound of iceberg, and a tangy “JFC sauce” that keeps things moist.
