"The Sycamore in the Mission seems like every other tiny dive bar in the neighborhood, but they also have managed to hide away an entire kitchen in the back. Unfortunately, nearly every dish on their brunch and lunch menu is disappointing in its own way, whether it’s the croque madame served on a stale croissant, the tiny beef sliders with almost no flavor, or the uninspired carnitas benedict that’s served bone-chillingly cold. The only good thing we can say about these dishes is that they are legally food. At least the two-hour-long bottomless mimosa deal is just $25, but chugging mimosas in a covered back patio can’t replace the taste of properly seasoned food." - Ricky Rodriguez
