"Up above The Optimist is Le Loup, an under-the-sea-themed bar with complex cocktails and bar snacks like gigantic prawns and fresh radishes with salted butter. There’s no better bite to accompany drinks like My Dinner With Andre with bourbon, amaro, and a sassafras tea concentrate than a deeply golden and crispy duck fat tot slathered in creme fraiche and trout roe. The cocktail menu is also one of the most comprehensive in the city, with a section on the menu dedicated to a specific drink (like the martini or Manhattan), and you can always count on those to be good.
