"This Mexican restaurant is one of those chill places that make you forget you’re smack dab in a busy city. Bright yellow tables and chairs overlook an open-air, walk-up patio bar on a quiet Midtown side street. Posting up here with a frozen strawberry margarita in one hand and a chip dunked in chunky guacamole in the other breathes life into any mundane weeknight. So it works well as an afterwork spot to unwind with drinks and light bites, but Emilio’s menu offers enough tasty dishes for a whole meal too. The best pick here is the baja fried fish taco with corn salsa—it pairs well with the theme of carefree patio lounging. Food Rundown Frozen Margarita It meets our frozen margarita standards—sweet, smooth, and boozy. There are three flavors (get the strawberry), or you can try them all with their $16 flight. Tres Amigas Their creamy queso, guacamole, and spicy red salsa are all solid but nothing to write home about. Yet, they all tastes better when chased down with sips of tequila. Baja Fried Fish Taco Served on flour tortillas with a light, flaky piece of white fish, this taco is one of the best here. It’s piled high with shredded lettuce, a tasty corn salsa, and a drizzle of chipotle mayo. Carne Asada Street Taco Sometimes carne asada tacos can be a real letdown with meat that’s chewy and overcooked. That’s not the case with this one. The chunks of steak are pink and tender with a nice char flavor." - Juli Horsford
