"The Falkland Arms is straight out of a story book, with a thatched roof, copper tankards and jugs dangling from the ceiling, and a snug window seat next to the fireplace for hunkering down on a worn stool with a pint. It’s what we imagine Tolkien’s Prancing Pony to be like—but instead of shire-folk, locals and tourists stream in for live music and hefty roast dinners. But we’d skip the food altogether. Have lunch next door at Quince And Clover, then drop by for a pint and some crisps in the characterful bar or picturesque beer garden. photo credit: Sinéad Cranna photo credit: Sinéad Cranna video credit: Sinéad Cranna Pause Unmute" - Sinéad Cranna
