"When you’re using your fingers to scrape up the last of the creamy polenta with savory mushroom au jus, you’ll be grateful for the seclusion that Buckhead’s Americano provides. A long, cavernous dining room with high-back leather booths feels private for couples, hides celebrities (who we only spotted when they walked to their table), and provides shelter for folks out with their sneaky links. The polenta is the best thing here, but Americano's juicy steaks and housemade pastas are excellent, too. And we especially love the perfectly al dente macaroni tre formaggi, which will win approval from that auntie who hates every mac and cheese but her own." - nina reeder, jacinta howard, juli horsford
