"Duran Duran’s ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’ soundtracks an after-work crowd biting into oozy, stacked burgers at easygoing Bermondsey spot, Crol & Co. But we like it best first thing, when eating with your hood up is perfectly acceptable and the diner-like aesthetic—coffee in thick white mugs, plastic bottles of HP, racks of newspapers—makes the most sense. Give the curry sauce-less spice bags a miss, and linger over a perfectly fine cup of coffee and a solid breakfast. There are some nice touches like chives scattered on runny yolks and juicy, sausage patties that make this a decent morning spot to keep in mind when you’re in the area." - Sinéad Cranna
