"Like a lot of the Italian spots around Arthur Ave. in the Bronx, Gino’s Pastry Shop has walls lined with signed photos of celebrities, including several WWE superstars, Yankees legends, and Al Pacino behind the register. But this cafe, founded in 1960, also has something that differentiates them from most of the bakeries in the area, namely a deep fryer. They fry and fill their cannoli fresh here, which results in a light and crunchy pastry, dappled with bubbles, and stuffed with filling that isn’t overly sweet." - Will Hartman
