"On the surface, a musubi-focused Downtown counter spot like Musubi Kai sounds great. It could be an ideal launchpad to nab nori-wrapped canned ham and zip over to Pike Place. But the namesake dishes at this small spot are too rice-heavy and larger plates like pineapple beef sukiyaki taste bland.
