"It’s harder to find a great scene than it is to find great food in Westchester. And despite being located in a Whole Foods parking lot, Bia American Kitchen in Chappaqua has the most action in a dining room we’ve seen in the last couple of years. The space has high ceilings, a large generous bar area with separate seating, and lots of booths that invite group dining. The menu covers the basics of the modern American playbook—raw fish, flatbreads, grilled meats and fish—and the prices generally match the high design vibes. We’ve had some spotty service here, and generally enjoyed the main courses more than the starters. But on a weekend when you don’t want to go all the way to NYC, there’s no better place in Westchester to feel like you still had a fun night out. Bia is also a nice option for lunch during the week, and we think the grain bowls are a great way to play daytime dining here. photo credit: Amy Drucker" - Mike Wasserman
