"This casual counter-service spot in Downtown Tucker makes damn-good cheesesteaks. Nicky’s uses crispy-shelled Liscio’s hoagie rolls and packs them with delicious sliced ribeye and melty provolone, white american, or gooey Cheez Whiz. Sure, you could opt for a decent turkey sandwich doused in oil and red wine vinegar or a so-so pizza slice the size of a Peachtree pothole. But that would be the equivalent of going to Disney World and looking for Bugs Bunny. Don’t be silly, get the cheesesteak. And that isn’t the only Philly item they rep. Eagles flags fly over their full bar, and Pennsylvania-based food company logos make up the wall art above the plain wooden tables. As Falcons fans, we’ll tolerate the hardcore Philly love to get our hands on one of the best cheesesteaks in the city. Food Rundown photo credit: Juli Horsford Cheesesteaks They’ve got Cheez Whiz, white american, and provolone here as well as your choice of chicken, beef, or Impossible meat. Go with the classic beef (it’s phenomenal), and come hungry because these sandwiches are massive and ooze out so much cheese you’ll go through several stacks of napkins. Pizza Slice A slice of cheese is $5, and it’s decent. It’s the best deal on the menu price-wise, considering a slice is bigger than Lincoln Financial Field. Mozzarella Squares These little pockets of fried cheese are entirely skippable. They come out a little cold and mushy. Cheesesteak Egg Rolls It’s a cheesesteak encased in a tasty egg roll exterior. Worth an order if you’re truly obsessed with Philly’s famous food and want something less messy to eat (otherwise just get the much more filling sandwich). Turkey Hoagie A huge sandwich weighed down by so much turkey you’ll need to skip arm day at the gym in order to recover.
