"Maple Block is a well-known commodity in the LA barbecue world. Their original location has been doing Texas-style barbecue in Culver City since 2015, and now you can get their wood-smoked spare ribs, sausage links, and chicken wings from a walk-up window along Hill Street. All the ordering happens at the bar counter, and seating takes up the entire tree-lined patio outside the market. During weekend lunch, you might have to work your way through some crowds, but the reward will be beautiful slices of brisket with candy-like bark, soft layers of fat, and a prominent smoke ring.
