Bo&Beurre

Sandwich shop · Tenderloin

"There’s a cluster of bánh mì options in the Tenderloin at Larkin and Eddy—Saigon Sandwich, L&G, and Bo & Beurre, which has a slightly longer menu and higher prices than the others. Bo & Beurre serves 11 different types of the Vietnamese staple, including a traditional combo with chả lụa and cold cuts, as well as other versions not found at nearby spots like pork belly and curry chicken. They’re all solid with a crusty baguette, generous fillings, and a fistfuls of cilantro, but with Saigon Sandwich and L&G so close by, it’s hard to justify paying nearly twice as much. Still, if you’re in the area and need a toasted sandwich with a lot of meat after 7pm when the other bánh mì places have closed, Bo & Beurre—which stays open until 9am—is your best bet." - Patrick Wong
