"Walk into this East Village bakery and you’ll be hit by the smell of curried beef and butter. Whether you’re here grabbing snacks before work or taking a seat in their café, the move is to always get their curry pan—crispy on the outside, and generously filled with soft bits of vegetables and meat mildly spiced by curry paste. The sweets are also worth some attention, like the macadamia pie that has a nice balance of crunch and sticky sweetness. Monday morning around 9am is usually the least crowded time to swing by this neighborhood hotspot, when you’ll have a better chance of snagging street parking and avoiding the line that often wraps around the block." - Sabrina Medora
