Manor Oktoberfest Review - Forest Hills - New York - The Infatuation

"You may walk into Manor Oktoberfest (where the doorknobs look like boot-shaped glasses) thinking you know which beer you’re going to order, but you should be prepared to pivot. “Start with this one and go from there, trust me,” your server might say, when he brings you a free sample of the light and refreshing Austrian lager Stiegl Goldbräu. He knows what he’s talking about. This German beer hall in Forest Hills (there’s another location in Glendale) is a pleasant place to drink any number of beers, with cozy dark wood booths, a chalkboard of rotating specials, and occasional live accordion music. If you get hungry, order the Hungarian schnitzel with a crunchy pork cutlet and slightly sweet paprika sauce—mostly for the excuse to eat the wonderfully chewy, buttery spätzle that comes alongside it. photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick photo credit: David A.
