"Did Montauk need another see-and-be-seen restaurant with weekenders eager to flex their outfits, spending habits, and entourages? Absolutely not. But if we had to have another sceney restaurant in the mix, we could do a lot worse than Mavericks. Most things at this seafood-focused steakhouse are solid, like bone-in tuna ribeye served like a steak with a spicy harissa sauce for dipping, crunchy fried chicken with caviar, and locally made pasta tossed with gently cooked lobster.
