"Neon lights, private c-shaped “cenote booths,” and an impressive collection of tequilas on display at the bar almost give Alejandro’s nightclub vibes, but once you order a just-sweet-enough dirty horchata, and drag a warm chip through their signature guacamole, you’ll realize the real party is at your table. This buzzy Mexican spot is where you should order a lot and share (so come with a group). Get the masa tempura, which gives sweet corn the crispy tempura treatment, the little gem salad (ask for extra cilantro dressing since you’ll want to dip everything in it), and at least two different kinds of tacos, like the standout charred cauliflower al pastor and cochinita pibil with pickled onions." - Gabi Moskowitz
