Romoli - Review - Trieste - Rome - The Infatuation

"Romoli is a bakery in Trieste where all the neighborhood locals come for a quick espresso, sfogliatelle, and their mini-football-sized maritozzi. These are some of the longest you’ll find in Rome, which, yes, means more cream and brioche to go around. But also you can probably just get one to split between a couple of friends since they’re so rich. These are also brushed with sugar, giving the brioche a lovely glazed donut consistency. It’s a busy place, so be prepared with your order—the people behind the counter will glare at you if you’re not ready." - Carlo Mantuano
